Max Telecom and Samsung Accelerate Nationwide 4G Mobile WiMAX Deployment in Bulgaria

 Max Telecom, a next generation telecommunications operator in Bulgaria, has selected Samsung Electronics Co.  Ltd.  as its sole Mobile WiMAX solutions vendor to bring a state-of-the-art mobile internet service to Bulgaria.  Samsung's wideband 3.5GHz Mobile WiMAX solution and technical support will play a key role in the popularizing of personal mobile broadband services in Bulgaria.

Max Telecom plans to upgrade its commercial Mobile WiMAX service with Samsung's technology in Bulgaria at the end of 2010.  Max Telecom will expand the Mobile WiMAX service to a nationwide coverage for the population of 7.6 million by 2012, aiming to provide richer mobile data services as well as a high-quality VoIP offering.

The Max Telecom network aims to offer nomadic and mobile wireless broadband services; both indoors and on the move.  Max Telecom will also offer complementary devices providing wireless indoor solutions for the office and home with download speeds of up to 32 mega bit per second. 

Samsung is providing its latest Mobile WiMAX solution including U-RAS Smart base stations and related systems, and network support services.  Samsung's Mobile WiMAX solutions are cost-effective and energy-efficient, and support a smooth migration from Mobile WiMAX to WiMAX 2.
